Gaming News Nintendo Switch: Video games to watch out for in February 2024

More and more Mario in February with the remake of an unusual episode that is likely to set our brains in motion. And for lovers of Japanese productions, the choice is going to be tough between an iconic dungeon-RPG and the adaptation of the manga Jujutsu Kaisen.

Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash

The Jujutsu Kaisen manga phenomenon has already conquered our screens thanks to its animated adaptation, but will it also convince fans of fighting games? That’s the bet Bandai Namco is making with Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash and its 2v2 fighter arenas. Straight from the manga, the Curses and the exorcists of the series will meet on February 2 to settle their scores. In total, the game will feature around fifteen playable characters, including the occult abilities of the characters that should be immediately identifiable. Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and Satoru Gojo will of course be part of the game.

Tomb Raider I-III Remastered

A refresher for the younger generation, and especially for those nostalgic for the early days of Lara Croft in video games. The first three installments of the franchise are reunited in a modernized compilation, with brand new options to rejuvenate the franchise. The publisher emphasizes that this Tomb Raider I-III Remastered gives us the choice between a modern realization or one with the polygonal graphics of the past. The same goes for modern or original controls.

The three games also have the merit of including all of the previous extensions and secret levels. Lara will be waiting for you on February 14, for Valentine’s Day, but the title will be available only in digital version on Switch, as on the other platforms.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong

After giving a second life to Super Mario RPG, Nintendo reminds us of a game whose origins date back to 2004. That was 20 years ago, which justifies completely the complete overhaul of Mario vs. Donkey Kong.

This title enchanted us back then in its GBA (Gameboy Advance) version. This twisted tribute to the legendary Donkey Kong, king of arcade machines in his time, was already in the form of a tasty blend of platform and puzzle-solving. The player had to help Mario make his way through tricky levels to find the stolen mini-Mario toys by the primate.
