Sand Land, a post-Dragon Ball manga by Akira Toriyama

To put things into context, Sand Land is a one volume story written and drawn by Akira Toriyama in 2000, after the end of Dragon Ball.. We follow the adventures of Beelzebub, the Prince of Demons, who lives in a universe where the only river that supplied the entire world with water has dried up. Henceforth, the only source of drinking water is in the hands of a king who charges exorbitant prices. The situation will be reversed when Sheriff Lao informs Beelzebub that there would be a fountain that could meet the needs of humans and demons. So we will follow the young prince and his companions in their quest to find this place capable of bringing peace to the Sand Land.

If it's originally a manga, Sand Land was recently made into a film and was released in Japan in August 2023. If we don't yet know the screening date here in France, An animated series retelling the events of the film in an extended version is planned for Disney+ starting March 20.
